Day 1 – Lisbon
Day 2 – Visit of Lisbon
Day 3 – Visit of the Coast of Lisbon / Mafra / Óbidos / Peniche
Day 4 – Visit of Peniche / Nazaré / Alcobaça / Batalha / Fatima / Coimbra
Day 5 – Visit of Coimbra / National Park of Bussaco / Aveiro / Porto

Day 1 – Lisbon
Arrival to Lisbon Airport and Pick-up of the car at the Airport. Accommodation at the Hotel Roma or similar in Lisbon.

Day 2 – Visit of Lisbon
Suggestions : A drive down liberty Avenue to Rossio, the very heart of the city. Alfama the oldest and most picturesque quarter ( stop for a wine tasting in an handicraft store ). Then a drive along the Riverside to admire the Bridge Over Tagus, The Belém Tower, the Monument to the Sea Discoveries.
Next a visit to Jerónimos Monastery (church), a marvel of stone lacework and to the Coach Museum, where is the world’s largest collection (Approximately 20 km).
Accommodation at the Hotel Roma or similar in Lisbon.

Day 3 – Visit of the Coast of Lisbon / Mafra / Óbidos / Peniche
Suggestions : Visit of the Coastal resorts of Estoril and Cascais, then Sintra (stopping at the town historical centre, visit of the Town National Palace – opportunity to taste some of the wonderful regional pastries). Continuation to Mafra, where the Convent can be visited, followed by the medieval village of Óbidos. Arrival to Peniche. (Approximately 130/135 km). Accommodation at the Hotel Praia Norte or similar in Peniche.

Day 4 – Visit of Peniche / Nazaré / Alcobaça / Batalha / Fatima / Coimbra
Suggestions : Visit of the known fisherman’s village Nazaré, then drive to Alcobaça to visit the 12th century Church with the tombs of Pedro and Inês de Castro. Visit to Batalha Monastery (a historical landmark), and finally to Fátima – centre of Christian faith and a local of world pilgrimages.
Departure to Coimbra, visit of the old University Town, with it’s Library and Chappell. Approximately 165 km) Accommodation at the Hotel Almedina or similar in Coimbra.

Day 5 – Visit of Coimbra / National Park of Bussaco / Aveiro / Porto
Suggestions : Drive in direction of the forest of Bussaco, a National Park which houses around 700 diferent vegetable species and the 5* deluxe Palace Hotel, an impressive neo-manuelin style historical building, considered a national monument. Then visit of Aveiro, called by many the «Venice of Portugal» because it is surround by salt production lakes, lakes and beaches. Here you can also observe the fabrication of porcelan pieces of the brand «Vista Alegre», one of the most beautiful in Portugal. Arrival to Oporto. (Approximately 160 km).

Day 6 – Visit of Oporto
Suggestions : In Oporto, the 2nd biggest city of Portugal. Here you will be able to visit the old quarter of Ribeira, the Stock Exchange Palace, known for its superb Arab saloon, the Church of S. Francisco, covered with Golden sculpted wood and the Roman-Gothic Cathedral. Also not to forget are the several Port Wine cellars which can be visited on the left Bank side of the River Douro. (Approximately 30 km).

Day 7 – Visit of Minho
Suggestions : In the morning departure for the visit of the region «Minho». Arrival in Guimarães, town known as the birthplace of Portugal as a Nation. There you can find the castle of the first Portuguese King, «D.Afonso Henriques», admirably restored and the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança. Departure to Braga, the bishop’s city, still very impregnated of strong religious traditions. Visit of the cathedral, a building of primitive roman style of which the inside was changed during the Baroque times, the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte (Neo-classical style dated from the 18th century) the monumental stairs and Baroque church. (Approximately 145/150km).

Day 8 – Braga / Oporto
Returning of the car at the Airport of Oporto. End of our services.
