Wonders Of The Countryside Life - Day 1: Lisboa / Évora

Arrival. Check in and dinner at the farm. Have your well deserved rest at a unique room. Decorated with a rustic style, all the four rooms are personalised and each one has its own thematic.

Wonders Of The Countryside Life - Day 2: Évora - Cycling along the eco-trail (half day or full day – up to you)

This is a trail built on top of an old railway, which is only for pedestrians or cyclers.You will cycle through farm land and you will most likely find cows, sheep and beautiful horses. The eco trail starts very near the farm, and you will do this tour on your own.We suggest you take a picnic with you, and take as long as you feel like!Leaving the eco trail for a few kms you can visit a lake and cycle along it, or visit a lovely hamlet with traditional architecture.

Wonders Of The Countryside Life - Day 3: Évora - Canoeing trip

We will leave the farm in the morning, after our gorgeous breakfast, and take you to a really nice flat river. You ride in our jeep, and we will take some country side dirt roads. Our drivers/guides are extremely careful and very knowledgeable, and you will learn a lot about the cork trees, the olive trees and the olive oil along the way. Arriving to the river we will do some canoeing (don’t worry, it’s perfectly safe!)and, if we are lucky, see some herons, storks or ducks. On the way back the Monte do Serrado staff drop you off in Évora, where you can have lunch and spend the afternoon visiting the lovely city. They will pick you up later.

Wonders Of The Countryside Life - Day 4: Évora - Walking tour

A walking tour along the aqueduct of Évora (half day). A beautiful walk through farm land. We can walk to Évora (8 kms) or, if you find this too long for your kids, do a circular walk to the farm. The afternoon is free to enjoy the pool, visit the city or, if you have a car, visit one of the many gorgeous villages around Évora.

Wonders Of The Countryside Life - Day 5 Évora - free day

Free day. We suggest you visit Monsaraz Mediaeval Village. Or just relax by the pool and enjoy the pleasure of "doing nothing".

Wonders Of The Countryside Life - Day 6: Évora - Active morning at the farm

You will start by discovering the aromatic herbs that grow in the farm, which are used for many of our traditional dishes! Then you will plant a tree, which will me your land mark at the farm and your reason to come back. You can’t forget to water it tomorrow!Finish the day with an archery tournament, which can be done with kids since 4 or 5 years old, with the help of the farm guide.

Wonders Of The Countryside Life - Day 7: Évora - Megalithic route

By jeep and walking, you will discover many megalithic monuments that remind us of the Asterix stories! The oldest monument dates from 5000 BC! The tour can be done fully by car or
have a lot of walking involved. This depends entirely on you!

Make sure you book a flight in the evening, it is about 1 hour and a half driving from Monte do Serrado de Baixo to the airport.
