Algarve Day TripWe'll pick you up from your hotel in Vilamoura and hop on a bus that will take us to explore the inland area of the Algarve, a little known enclave, but a perfect reflection of the traditions and beautiful landscapes of its villages.
Our first stop will be Loulé, around 20 minutes away from Vilamoura. We'll explore its traditional market, which is one of the most popular markets in Portugal. In its Arabic-inspired interior, we'll stumble across stalls stacked with fruit, vegetables, fresh fish and seafood as well as lots of local handicrafts.
Afterwards, we'll go on a one-hour guided tour around the streets of this picturesque town to discover its historic quarter and, of course, its castle. At the end of our visit to Loulé, we'll visit a cork factory, where we'll witness the production process of this typically Portuguese material.
Back on the route, we'll stop at São Brás de Alportel, where you'll have some free time to enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. Once we've regained our energy, we'll head to Alte and go on a half-an-hour tour around this small town. Did you know the Alte is one of the Algarve's most typical villages? Whitewashed houses, arabesque fireplaces, an ancient watermill and craft shops are just some of the fascinating traditional features we'll discover.
Finally, we'll travel back to Vilamoura, arriving at about 6:30 pm.
Alternative pick up points- If you'd prefer, you can reserve this excursion departing from Faro, Portimão, Albufeira and Quarteira.
